So you want to move to Brooklyn? Or, already a Brooklynite and looking for a new neighborhood? Here’s how our Website can help.

“Moving house” as the British call it, is one of the most stressful events in life. No worries. Brownstone is here to relieve the stress and to gently guide you through the process. Brownstone agents have been doing it for years and let’s admit it, we do it well. Even our website is constantly evolving to make moving easier for you.

Which neighborhood will best suit your lifestyle? Do you want a brownstone or a high-rise with a doorman? Do you commute? Which subway lines are important for you? Is there a park nearby for your daily run?  Where will the kids go to school? Resolving all these issues can be overwhelming, so let us start helping you right now!

Be prepared: The insider tips in our buyers’, sellers’, and renters’ guides, found on the Resources tab at the top of our home page, will give you much of the information you need to make informed decisions. In addition, our neighborhood descriptions can help you learn about areas that might fit your lifestyle. Simply click on the Neighborhoods tab and find links to information about the many sections of Brooklyn you might want to explore. You’ll get a feel for the streets, stores, and restaurants in each neighborhood, and our local business links will help you locate and learn about popular neighborhood destinations. To further get your bearings, the Resources menu provides neighborhood maps under the Useful Links tab. You can research local schools, through the school zoning links in the same section. You’ll also find information about parks and the many other attractions that make Brooklyn the best borough to live in in New York City. Last but far from least, a handy link to the MTA subway map will get you where you want to go in Brooklyn.

In the Bulletin section of our home page you’ll find a mini-blog full of articles on Brownstone-centric themes, including how to identify the style of your dream house, what Brownstone is made of, and more. Also, check what’s been selling in our Quarterly Sales Report, on the Resources menu located at the top of the page.
